Softball Recap: Grimsley Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Grimsley's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Mount Tabor Spartans on Wednesday. If the Whirlies were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in March of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Grimsley and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Mount Tabor, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Grimsley will take on Southeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Grimsley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Southeast Guilford has averaged an impressive 13.2 runs per game this season. As for Mount Tabor, they will square off against Reagan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Reagan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Mount Tabor's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
