Basketball Recap: Northland Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Northland Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the Valley Pirates, falling 50-22. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Pirates are ranked 125th).

Audre Wilson was Northland Prep Academy's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Northland Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Northland Prep Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-22 victory against BASIS Flagstaff on the 13th. As for Valley, they will head out to take on Round Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
