There's no place like home for McKeel Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Mulberry Panthers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

Chloe Lanier made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs.

In other batting news, Brianna Shelley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Kinsley Lowder was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

McKeel Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mulberry only posted an OBP of .296.

The win got McKeel Academy back to even at 1-1.

McKeel Academy has already played their next contest, a 13-3 defeat against Bartow on the 21st. As for Mulberry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-0 loss against George Jenkins on the 20th.
