If Myrtle was riding high fresh off their 78-26 takedown of Strayhorn on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks were beaten by the East Union Urchins 74-44 on Friday. The Hawks have struggled against the Urchins recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Myrtle's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for East Union, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Myrtle and East Union will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Hawks see the court they'll take on Strayhorn at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for East Union, their break will end when they face Alcorn Central at 8:30 p.m. on the 29th.
