Football Recap: Arkoma Falls Despite Big Games from Alex Armstrong and Scout Smith + How To Watch

Arkoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 36-20 to the Canadian Cougars. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Arkoma had strong showings from Scout Smith, who rushed for 104 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries, and Alex Armstrong, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown.

Arkoma's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Canadian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arkoma will head out to face off against Graham/Dustin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canadian, they will challenge Webbers Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
