Preview: Beaver Falls Tigers vs. Western Beaver Golden Beavers
Beaver Falls has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge The Western Beaver Golden Beavers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Beaver Falls will be strutting in after a win while Western Beaver will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Beaver Falls never let their opponents score. They claimed a resounding 36-0 win over Freedom Area at home. The result was nothing new for Beaver Falls, who have now won four matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Western Beaver unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 31-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mohawk Area.
Although Western Beaver took the loss, they still got scores from Mikey Crawford, Dorian McGhee, and Tyson Florence.
Beaver Falls is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Western Beaver, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Beaver Falls against Western Beaver when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 44-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beaver Falls since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
