Recap: McLaurin Tigers vs. Enterprise Bulldogs
The McLaurin Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 16th straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Enterprise, falling 55-21. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McLaurin in their matchups with Enterprise: they've now lost three in a row.
Enterprise's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Allie Heathcock led the charge by scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Heathcock has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Marlee Brannan, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
McLaurin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 17 of their last 18 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-22 record this season. As for Enterprise, their win bumped their record up to 12-14.
McLaurin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Enterprise, they will head out on the road to face off against Kemper County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kemper County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Enterprise in Mississippi (Kemper County is ranked 103rd, while Enterprise is ranked 236th).
