Recap: Beddingfield Bruins vs. North Johnston Panthers
The Beddingfield Bruins meant business on Friday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Panthers squad that has allowed just 22 points per contest. Beddingfield strolled past North Johnston with points to spare, taking the game 57-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Beddingfield also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Beddingfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Natasha Marshall led the charge by scoring 15 points along with five assists and five steals. Marshall hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of TJohnna Harris, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Beddingfield is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for North Johnston, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.
Beddingfield will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Eastern Wayne at 5:45 p.m. Eastern Wayne is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for North Johnston, they will face off against Goldsboro at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goldsboro is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
