Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Eufaula

Eufaula waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Idabel Warriors. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 9-4 win on Monday.

Fischer McAllister was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Eufaula's success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is undefeated (and 4-15 when he doesn't). McAllister was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Beau Tarron was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Eufaula: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Sanchez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Eufaula kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Eufaula picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 7-15. As for Idabel, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-25.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Eufaula will challenge Roland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Idabel, they will face off against Valliant at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
