Football Game Recap: Middlesex vs. New Providence

Middlesex couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 19-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Providence. The loss was a vexing one since Middlesex was expected to win based on their state ranking. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Middlesex off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving New Providence a 1-0 record.

Middlesex will look to defend their home turf next week against Hillside at 7:00 PM. As for New Providence, they will face off against South Hunterdon.
