Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Union's 13th in Last 16 Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Union walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars on Saturday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Union took every set by at least 19 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-6, 25-4.

Their offense was headlined by Ava Smith and Destiny Moulds, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Abigail Cleveland and her 21 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 11 aces.

Union is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-11 record this season. As for Jefferson Davis County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Union has already played their next matchup (against St. Patrick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jefferson Davis County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
