The home team had come away the winner the last six times Triad and East St. Louis had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Knights came out on top against the Flyers by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Flyers: they've now won eight in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23.

Allison Adomite paced Triad's offense, picking up seven kills. Adomite got some help from Heidi Boehning and her 23 assists. Claire Buger controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Triad's victory bumped their record up to 17-12. As for East St. Louis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

Triad wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Rochester on the 17th. As for East St. Louis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Breese Central on the 17th.
