Basketball Game Preview: Orcutt Academy Spartans vs. Pioneer Valley Panthers

Orcutt Academy is on a four-game streak of home losses, Pioneer Valley a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Orcutt Academy Spartans will welcome the Pioneer Valley Panthers at 6:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Orcutt Academy was beaten by Paso Robles 63-33. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pioneer Valley ended up a good deal behind Lompoc on Friday and lost 69-52. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1085th, while the Braves are ranked 473rd).

Pioneer Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Orcutt Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.
