Basketball Game Preview: Kennedy Bears vs. Global Concepts Gators

Kennedy is 0-3 against Global Concepts since January of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Kennedy Bears will take on the Global Concepts Gators in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Kennedy will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Cleveland Hill, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Kennedy breezed by Cleveland Hill to the tune of 71-44 on Monday.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Global Concepts sidestepped Eden for a 67-65 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Global Concepts' win came from a few key players Kennedy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jose Castro, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Davis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Global Concepts smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Global Concepts' victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-0. As for Kennedy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Kennedy and Global Concepts were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February, but Kennedy came up empty-handed after a 44-43 defeat. Can Kennedy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
