With a playoff win on the line, Cardinal Gibbons rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Atlantic Christian Sharks with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Chiefs, who have now won six matchups in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Atlantic Christian lost, don't look at Jonathan Gonzalez. Despite the final result, he had 18 assists and 11 digs. Gonzalez is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 18 or more in each of the last ten games he's played.

Cardinal Gibbons' win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Atlantic Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.
