Roxboro Community put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past the Vance Charter Knights with a 37-31 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-45 back in December of 2024.

Roxboro Community's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karrie Obie, who posted 11 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaylyn Pope, who scored ten points.

Roxboro Community smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adanna Aniekwensi, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 12 points and eight boards. Aniekwensi has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Leah Rice also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Roxboro Community's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for Vance Charter, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Henderson Collegiate the next time they take the court. Vance Charter will host Henderson Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Roxboro Community will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
