St. Maries has gone 8-1-1 against Priest River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lumberjacks are taking a road trip to take on the Spartans at 2:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for St. Maries and ten for Priest River.

St. Maries made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Orofino, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lumberjacks fell just short of the Maniacs by a score of 8-6 last Saturday.

Addyson Stewart was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off seven hits. Stewart was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Danika Sloper made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Priest River came up short against Grangeville on Saturday, falling 22-1.

St. Maries' defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Priest River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12-1.

St. Maries took their victory against Priest River in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 22-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lumberjacks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
