Softball Recap: Parkland Has No Trouble Against William Allen

While Parkland put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for William Allen. The Parkland Trojans were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the William Allen Canaries. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Canaries, too.

Allison Hunsberger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero hits, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.

In other batting news, Danica Clemmer was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Anna Belletieri was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

The win made it two in a row for Parkland and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.5 runs. As for William Allen, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Parkland will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Freedom at 4:00 p.m. As for William Allen, they will welcome Bethlehem Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
