Recap: Borden County Coyotes vs. Paradise Panthers
The Borden County Coyotes entered their tilt with the Paradise Panthers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Borden County skirted past Paradise 36-34.
When it comes to explaining why Paradise lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Gazey Yates. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Yates scored a full 47.1% of Paradise's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Morgan Mitschke was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Borden County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Paradise, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Borden County will challenge Hermleigh at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Thrall at 12:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Thrall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 411th, while Paradise is ranked 160th).
