Tri-Valley's loss ends four-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Tri-Valley Warriors vs. Fort Yukon Eagles
It was a good run, but the Tri-Valley Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak dating back to last season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 81-42 loss at the hands of Fort Yukon. Tri-Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fort Yukon apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Fort Yukon was led to victory by Nellie Ward and Kylee Carroll. Ward scored 23 points, while Carroll scored 24 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ward has scored at least 25% of Fort Yukon's points. Another player making a difference was Karli Thomas, who scored 12 points.
Tri-Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. As for Fort Yukon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Tri-Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fort Yukon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Walter Northway at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th.
