Football Game Preview: Junipero Serra Padres vs. Bellarmine College Prep Bells + How To Watch

Junipero Serra is 9-1 against Bellarmine College Prep since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Padres will host the Bells at 1:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Junipero Serra has five straight victories, Bellarmine College Prep has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Junipero Serra strolled past Archbishop Mitty with points to spare, taking the game 28-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Padres' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Monarchs are ranked 85th).

Iziah Singleton had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 116 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Junipero Serra's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Jeovanni Henley got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Bellarmine College Prep played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Archbishop Riordan, falling 35-13. The Bells were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Junipero Serra's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Bellarmine College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Junipero Serra against Bellarmine College Prep in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 47-6 victory. Will the Padres repeat their success, or do the Bells have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
