            Baseball Recap: West Warwick Wizards vs. Central Knights        
        
		
        
        
            West Warwick came out on top against Central  on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Wizards walked away with  a   6-3  victory over the Knights.
 Anthony Burt tossed a big game,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Nick Andruchow, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in May of 2024.  Joe Riviera was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  triple.

West Warwick's win was  their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-1. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Central, their  defeat was their first of the  season and also makes their record 4-1.
 West Warwick wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  an  11-0  win against Exeter-West Greenwich on the 19th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  13-3  loss against St. Raphael Academy on the 17th.
