Volleyball Recap: Brianna Paul Key Part of Team Effort in Thunderbirds Win

Circle won the last time they faced Douglass and things went their way on Saturday too. The Thunderbirds came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbirds.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Circle was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12.

Circle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brianna Paul, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most aces Paul has posted over her last seven matches.

Paul wasn't the only good servers: Circle was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Circle's win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Douglass, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 20 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.

Coincidentally, Circle and Douglass will both be playing Winfield the next time they take the court. The Thunderbirds will host the Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
