Basketball Recap: Fountain Hills Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fountain Hills can now relate to. They took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pima Roughriders on Friday.

Sadie Richardson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pima, en route to 22 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That's the most points Richardson has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Adysen Hoopes, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards.

Fountain Hills' loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Pima, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-8.

Fountain Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pima, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arizona Lutheran Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pima knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Arizona Lutheran Academy likes a good challenge.
