Preview: Elgin Comets vs. Temple Christian Pioneers
The Elgin Comets will head out on the road to face off against the Temple Christian Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Elgin is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Two weeks ago, Elgin opened the new year with a less-than-successful 54-41 defeat to Ridgemont.
Temple Christian was handed a 20-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Calvary Christian on Saturday. Temple Christian skirted past Calvary Christian 46-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Temple Christian has posted yet this season.
Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Temple Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.
Elgin beat Temple Christian 58-51 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Elgin repeat their success, or does Temple Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
