Basketball Recap: Burncoat Starts off Right with Win over Leominster

Burncoat gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They secured a 63-57 W over the Leominster Blue Devils. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 63-39 victory the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2015.

Jean Carlos Pimental had a dynamite game for Burncoat, putting up 22 points. Those 22 points gave Pimental a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cheyton Marshall, who posted 12 points.

Leominster's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Burncoat will take on Hudson in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leominster, they will head out to square off against Doherty Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
