Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Knights vs. Strong Rock Christian Patriots

The Calvary Christian Knights will head out to take on the Strong Rock Christian Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Christian is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Calvary Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Deerfield-Windsor on Saturday. Calvary Christian took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Deerfield-Windsor. While losing is never fun, Calvary Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while Deerfield-Windsor is ranked 47th).

Despite the defeat, Calvary Christian had strong showings from Tj Benson, who posted 12 points and five rebounds, and Tyler Freeman, who earned 12 points. That's the most points Freeman has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Heard Heard, who had five points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Strong Rock Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They ended the year with a bang, routing Windsor Academy 70-44 on Monday. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Strong Rock Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
