Softball Recap: Montoursville's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but Montoursville unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Loyalsock Township Lancers by a score of 8-7. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Montoursville's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Loyalsock Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montoursville will head out to take on Shikellamy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Loyalsock Township, they will challenge Central Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
