Softball Recap: Windsor Jaguars vs. Santa Rosa Panthers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Casa Grande, Windsor was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Santa Rosa Panthers onto the board and left with a 19-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Windsor considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Kenzie Dennis and Kaihla Jarvinen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Dennis pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jarvinen pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (she also only allowed one walk). At the plate, Dennis got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and four RBI, while Jarvinen scored two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Pearl McKay, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Livia Huberts, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
