Baseball Recap: Edon Takes a Loss

Edon fell victim to Edgerton and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-0. The Bombers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Edon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braedyn Wehrle, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Edon's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Edgerton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edon will face off against Hilltop at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edgerton, they will challenge Stryker at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.92 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
