Softball Preview: Woodstock Wolverines vs. Milton Eagles
Woodstock has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will host the Milton Eagles at 6:00 p.m.
Things were looking good for Woodstock after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dacula.
Meanwhile, Milton had just enough and edged Chamblee out 3-2 on Wednesday.
Avery Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. Those seven innings set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Allison Oneacre was excellent, going 1-for-3 with a home run.
Woodstock now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Milton, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
