Basketball Recap: Magna Vista Takes a Loss

Magna Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost to the Mecklenburg County Phoenix on the road by a 62-48 margin. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Phoenix are ranked 163rd).

Magna Vista's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Mecklenburg County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Magna Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-49 defeat against Martinsville on the 15th. Mecklenburg County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
