Basketball Recap: Oviedo Comes Up Short

Oviedo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Mary Rams. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 458th, while the Rams are ranked 89th).

Oviedo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Lake Mary, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Oviedo will take on Altamonte Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Mary, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-24 loss against New Smyrna Beach on the 10th.
