Volleyball Recap: Liberty Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Baptist Academy was the 2-0 winner over Amplus Academy when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Archers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jayzzell Marquez-Lara was the offensive standout of the game as she had five aces and one assist. Those five aces gave her a new career-high. Ashley Galvis also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Liberty Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Amplus Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.

Liberty Baptist Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Innovations International on the 19th. As for Amplus Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Bonanza on the 16th.
