Softball Game Preview: Gar-Field Red Wolves vs. Woodbridge Vikings

Gar-Field is 0-10 against Woodbridge since May of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Red Wolves will take on the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Gar-Field had taken Hylton down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Red Wolves lost 23-4 to the Bulldogs. The Red Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gar-Field saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariana Biddle, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Biddle is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Alyssa Biddle was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Woodbridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to Charles J. Colgan, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Woodbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Gar-Field, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Gar-Field suffered a grim 22-0 defeat to Woodbridge when the teams last played back in March. Can the Red Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
