Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Raiders vs. Summers County Bobcats

The Liberty Raiders will challenge the Summers County Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Liberty lost 61-37 to James Monroe on Tuesday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Summers County was beaten by Wyoming East 74-36 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Warriors are ranked 21st).

Summers County's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Liberty was able to grind out a solid victory over Summers County when the teams last played back in January, winning 53-42. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does Summers County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
