Baseball Recap: Lubbock Comes Up Short

Lubbock managed to slip by Coronado the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Westerners lost 13-2 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. The Westerners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lubbock saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Rosendo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Lubbock's loss dropped their record down to 16-11-1. As for Coronado, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season.

While Lubbock had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
