Preview: Broken Arrow Tigers vs. Seiling Wildcats
The Broken Arrow Tigers and the Seiling Wildcats will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, Broken Arrow humbled Stillwater with a 72-40 victory. Given Broken Arrow's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Stillwater is ranked 356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Broken Arrow relied on the efforts of McKenzie Mathurin, who scored 26 points, and Macy Marraccini, who scored 17 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Mathurin has scored at least 25% of Broken Arrow's points. Another player making a difference was Taryn Jacobs, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Seiling put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Laverne at home to the tune of 79-31. Seiling's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Broken Arrow now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Seiling, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
