Football Recap: Linden-McKinley Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Linden-McKinley has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Tigers. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

East's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ta'John Royster, who rushed for 69 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Linden-McKinley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for East, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Linden-McKinley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-14 loss against Bloom-Carroll on the 31st. As for East, they have also already played their next contest, a 43-21 win against Canton South on the 31st.
