Softball Recap: Nekoosa Papermakers vs. Auburndale Apaches

Nekoosa unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Auburndale Apaches by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Papermakers were not able to make up for their loss to the Apaches from their previous meeting back in May of 2019.

Jackie Beadell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits.
