Basketball Recap: Hoboken Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hoboken came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the American History Eagles with a 59-54 victory. The Redwings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ah'Mad Woodard, who posted 24 points and six steals. Woodard is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Davis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Hoboken is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for American History, they moved to 13-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoboken won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for American History, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Shabazz at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
