Baseball Preview: Hill School Rams vs. Kiski School Cougars
The Hill School Rams will square off against the Kiski School Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Hill School has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Hill School is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Hun, who was ranked seventh in their home state at the time (Hill School was ranked 22nd). The Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-4. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kiski School). They walked away with a 10-6 win over Leechburg on Thursday. Kiski School's victory was all the more impressive since the Blue Devils were averaging only 3.33 runs allowed on the season.
The team relied heavily on Tyler Hahn, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Parker Hannah also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
