Basketball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Meridian Mustangs ended up a good deal behind the Twin River Titans and lost 56-38.

Despite the loss, Meridian still got an impressive performance from Jaylee Sobotka, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 boards. That was a full 34.2% of Meridian's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Taelyn Filipi, who had eight points.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Twin River, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Meridian will square off against East Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Twin River, they will challenge Giltner at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Twin River is facing Giltner at the right time seeing as Giltner is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
