Soccer Game Preview: Flagstaff vs. Prescott

The Flagstaff Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Prescott Badgers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Flagstaff will head out to face Prescott after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. Flagstaff fell 3-1 to Boulder Creek. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Prescott hadn't done well against Mohave recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. Prescott blew past Mohave 5-1. Cole Schumann had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Badgers.

Flagstaff's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for Prescott, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Flagstaff came out on top in a nail-biter against Prescott in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Flagstaff since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
