Fort Bend Elkins is 9-1 against Fort Bend Bush since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fort Bend Elkins Knights will host the Fort Bend Bush Broncos at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Fort Bend Elkins was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Fort Bend Travis. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Tigers are ranked 26th).

Despite the defeat, Fort Bend Elkins got top-tier performance from Joshua Lord, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 19 points and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Allen, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Fort Bend Bush didn't have quite enough to beat Ridge Point on Monday and fell 60-57.

Fort Bend Elkins has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Fort Bend Bush, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Fort Bend Elkins didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Fort Bend Bush in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 49-44 victory. Will Fort Bend Elkins repeat their success, or does Fort Bend Bush have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
