Heritage won the last time they faced Freedom and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots walked away with a 5-1 win over the Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Heritage got a great performance from Jace Bernard as he pitched 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Bernard has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyler Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alonzo Alvarez, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Heritage's record is now 15-4. As for Freedom, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Heritage will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
