Baseball Recap: Nebraska City Comes Up Short

Nebraska City's last matchup with Elkhorn could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Pioneers came up short against the Antlers, falling 10-1. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Antlers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Nebraska City got a good showing from Casen Dalinghaus, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Dalinghaus has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nebraska City saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Rovetto, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Nebraska City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Elkhorn, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-14 record.
