Houston Math Science & Tech lost against Westside back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers lost 18-10 to the Wolves. Even though they lost, the Tigers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Kathleen Gutierrez and Yazairis Martinez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gutierrez scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Martinez scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Melanie Cardona was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Houston Math Science & Tech is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. As for Westside, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11.

Coming up, Houston Math Science & Tech will square off against Wisdom at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Generals at the right time seeing as the Generals are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Westside, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heights at 4:30 p.m. on the 17th.
