Football Game Preview: Walker Valley Mustangs vs. Tullahoma Wildcats + How To Watch

The Walker Valley Mustangs will face off against the Tullahoma Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Walker Valley is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Rhea County. The Mustangs gained 132 more yards on the day, but it was the Golden Eagles that made the best use of them.

Walker Valley might have lost, but man, Cason Cunningham was a machine: he rushed for 134 yards and one touchdown. Cunningham is becoming a predictor of the Mustangs' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 6-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Tullahoma duked it out with Columbia Central on Friday. The Wildcats took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Walker Valley will have to contain Marvancy Johnson as he made an impact in Tullahoma's last game. He rushed for 142 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.

Walker Valley's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Tullahoma, their record is now 5-5.
