St. Augustine Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carolina Georgelous led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Georgelous has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lourdes Gamez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Tempe Prep sidestepped the Dust Devils for a 41-38 win.
St. Augustine Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Tempe Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
